Healthy Choices

Program Description: Healthy Choices is a specially developed prevention program for students in the middle school. The program is designed to give seventh graders new information and skills on how to make healthy choices related to their emotional and physical well-being. Healthy Choices complements the existing school health curriculum and is not a required program. Classes are very interactive combining lectures, discussions, videos, and guest presenters. Some of the subjects covered include:

*Self Esteem/Emotional Health *Teen Pregnancy *Prevention
*Puberty *STD's/AIDS
*Abstinence *Sexual Harassment

How to get Involved: We will come and present at the gym classes at the beginning of the year. The class is voluntary and requires parent permission. We can take up to 15 girls per class. All you need to do is to fill out the permission slip and return it to the clinic in school by the due date.
