Duplex (Single Family attached) Permits

Grading and Excavation (GE) permits are required for all duplex (a.k.a. single family attached) construction in unincorporated Summit County.  Duplexes shall be reviewed according to the Class 1 review procedures listed in Chapter 12 of the Summit County Land Use and Development Code

The same or similar grading and excavation standards shall apply to duplexes as apply to single family residences, except that duplexes that take access from paved roads are required to have paved driveways.  The same permit review checklist shall be utilized in the review of duplexes as is used in the review of single family detached structures.
