VOTER QUALIFICATIONS
- You must be a citizen of the United States
- You must be 18 years old by Election Day
- You must be a Colorado resident who has lived at the address of record within a given precinct for 30 days by Election Day
- You must be registered to vote 29 days prior to the election
How to Register to Vote
Any qualified citizen can register up to, and including, 29 days before an election at the following sites:
- County Clerk Offices — Summit County Courthouse,
208 E. Lincoln, Breckenridge
- Driver's License Offices — County Commons,
37 County Road 1005,
Frisco
- Municipal Clerk Offices
- Various Human Services Agencies
- By mail-in registration forms
Absentee Ballot Information
An application for an absentee ballot may be submitted as early as January 1st of the election year, but no later than the close of business on the Tuesday before the election if the ballot is mailed, or the close of business on the Friday before the election if the ballot is picked up by the applicant.
Note: The absentee ballot application must be personally signed by the applicant.

Early Voting
Early voting is available during regular business hours the week before the Primary Election and two weeks before the General Election.
Registration Status
If you failed to vote in past elections or have moved, please check with the County Clerk's Office 970.453.3479 to update your registration address and verify that you are still registered.
Identification Required
Colorado law now requires voters to present identification prior to voting at the polls.
