eSLATE™ VOTING MACHINE

As required by the new federal "Help America to Vote Act", an accessible voting machine that anyone may use will be available at each polling place to ensure that voters with disabilities can vote privately and independently.

Voters who are visually impaired, or have difficulty reading will find a completely new voting system called the eSlate™.

Voters will view the candidates and issues on a screen and then, using a rotary dial, make their selections. When finished, the screen will display the choices made, the voter will be able to confirm their selections before casting the ballot.
