Either own or be renting a permanent residence (i.e. house, condominium, mobile home, etc.). | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

Be at least 18 years of age (or have parental permission in the adoption if under 18). |

a current I. D. or Driver's License showing current age and address. |

Be willing and able to provide adequate training, necessary medical care
and loving attention to an adopted pet. |

Pay
adoption fees of $105.00 for dogs and puppies or $85.00 for cats and kittens.
These fees include microchip and initial registration, spay or neuter surgery,
license fee for first year, rabies and distemper vaccination when applicable
and veterinary exam at local participating veterinary clinics. These fees
also help partially cover the cost of the animal's care and feeding during
the animal's stay at the shelter. |

Please understand that the Summit County Animal Shelter reserves the right to deny any application for adoption. As you tour the kennel areas, please ask a staff member to assist in introducing you to any adoption animal you might like to meet. | |
